Cap'n Tim Guide Service is a private Lake Texoma striper fishing guide based in Pottsboro, TX, offering highly engaging striped bass fishing experiences for up to four guests. Captain Tim specializes in lure fishing only, creating a hands-on and sporting trip that keeps anglers involved from the first cast to the final fish in the cooler. Whether you are a first-time angler or a long-time Texoma visitor, Captain Tim makes it easy to enjoy a productive day on the lake. Lake Texoma is famous for being one of the only inland lakes in the country where striped bass naturally reproduce. With 89,000 acres of water and generous catch limits, the lake offers consistent action throughout the year. The combination of healthy fish populations, scenic open water, and year-round schooling activity makes Texoma a top destination for catching stripers. Guests will spend the trip aboard one of Captain Tim’s two well-maintained 23-foot Falcon boats. Both are restored 2001 hulls designed for comfort and performance. One features a quiet and fuel-efficient 250 HP Suzuki four-stroke outboard with a center console layout. The other carries a powerful inboard GM MerCruiser 350 MAG V8 with a dual console design. Each vessel accommodates up to four anglers and provides smooth cruising, clean deck space, and stable fishing platforms. Trips typically run four to five hours depending on season. Early morning departures dominate spring and summer, while cooler months favor relaxed mid-morning start times. Captain Tim is flexible with scheduling and will help guests choose an ideal time after booking. All rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, and fish cleaning is included. Guests should bring drinks, snacks, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing. A Texas/Oklahoma Lake Texoma fishing license is required and can be purchased online for $12. For those with their own boats, Cap'n Tim Guide Service also offers specialized educational trips focused on improving angling skills, understanding striper behavior, and learning seasonal patterns on Texoma. These sessions are extremely valuable for boat owners who want to fish the lake more effectively on their own. Cap'n Tim Guide Service also runs scenic lake tours that explore Texoma's white-sand islands, marinas, and wildlife areas. Scenic trips are popular with families and visitors looking to enjoy the lake on a relaxing outing. Book a private guided striper trip on Lake Texoma today.
